Attitude transfer in the context of goals
This line of research investigates affect and cognition’s roles in decision making in different contexts. For example, one of the studies examines whether people will rely more on cognition when they make decisions for others, whereas relying more on affect when they make decisions for themselves.
Backlash effects against female leaders
Women remain quite rare as elite leaders and top executives. Our research focuses on the backlash effects against female leaders in the workplace. In one of our studies, I examine the subordinate’s gender as a potential moderator of the backlash effects. More specifically, I investigate whether people will perceive the female manager as less likable when she demonstrates power toward male subordinates than toward female subordinates.
